THE TOUR AT THE GLANCE

The North and South India tour is a private journey that perfectly blends Rajasthan & Kerala: two of the most enticing regions of the subcontinent. Travelling by train, plane, car, and houseboat, on this tour you’ll be able to experience the diversity of India, with the tigers and glittering forts & palaces of Rajasthan being complimented and contrasted with the scenic beauty, spices and easy ways of tropical Kerala.  Your Rajasthan and Kerala tour begins in the vibrant Indian capital Delhi, then continues to Agra where you’ll see sunrise over the magnificent milk-white Taj Mahal. A journey by rail will then bring you to Ranthambore, where you’ll go in search of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Continue to the pink city of Jaipur – the regal capital of Rajasthan –  where experiences include driving up to the spectacular yellow hued Amer fort, gazing on Maharaja’s private art collection at the City Palace, and staying in a luxurious palace hotel or charming traditional haveli. On flying south to the historic spice port of Cochin, you’ll swap the glittering culture of Rajasthan for the idyllic tropical landscapes of Kerala. From historic Cochin on the Indian Ocean, a journey inland will bring to the tranquil shores of Lake Vembanad where there will be time to relax amongst the manicured lawns and swaying coconut palms of your resort. Next, a sedately paced cruise on a privately chartered traditional houseboat will enable you to explore the enchanting waterways of Kerala’s backwaters. Concluding the North & South India tour are two nights at Mararikulam where you will be able to unwind on the virtually empty beaches.
